With a few questions and a little research he set up the perfect event time after time. His approach has always been simple and straightforward: To provide the best entertainment for each situation based upon budget and entertainment preferences. Our New York entertainment consultants have been described many ways. We are your human resource department for entertainment. We are the meeting facilitators’ entertainment source. About Mike Purcell Mike Purcell (New York State Entertainer of the Year ‘89) is a talented and versatile Keyboard performer who besides being an accomplished solo pianist also adds the dimension of 3 different synthesizers to his act which ranges from soft cocktail piano, lively show tunes, country western, jazz, commercial standards, to the contemporary pop tunes and so on. Raised from a family of eight with three generations of pianists, his rich all- encompassing background becomes more apparent with each song he plays. As a result, his repertoire is only limited by the number of requests he can play in one night! Mike has 25 years of experience as a professional entertainer during which time he managed his own group “Mike Purcell & Company” and completed a successful road tour through the Greater New England area. For 10 years Mike performed each summer on his self designed portable piano bar in Lake George, NY. People of all ages gathered around to sing-along as Mike played their favorite songs. With his smooth singing style reminiscent of a Barry Manilow, Mike has played everything from junior high proms to senior citizen dances. This One Man Show does an act that includes a variety of hats, vocal impressions, singing puppets, whistling, original songs, playing harmonica and, if that’s not enough, audience participation with a Guest Mic, old time sing-a-longs, Mystery Tune contests and group participation with rhythm instruments. Mike attributes his success to giving people what they want. In the words of Travel and Leisure Magazine, “Mike is the consummate entertainer. With his easy banter he accommodates the audience and plays anything from Beethoven to Michael Jackson. When asked for a request he’ll say something like, ‘I don’t know that song.... but if I did, it would go something like this, then launches into a perfect rendition of the song!’” Mike has performed from Maine to Florida to Las Vegas. He enjoys every aspect of the entertainment business and always looks forward to the next engagement with eagerness. He is always perfecting his craft and it shows with each performance.
